Hi! Welcome to Footnotes 😊

We are a team of three - Kasia 🦸🏻‍♀️ (mum), Franek 🥷🏻 (11) and Maria 🧝🏻‍♀️ (9). We are a mixed, multilingual family and between us we speak and read in English 🇬🇧, Portuguese 🇧🇷 and Polish 🇵🇱. Books have always been a big part of our lives — from bedtime stories and picture books to novels, atlases and well-loved favorites that have grown with us over the years.

We have been living in Dubai 🇦🇪 since May 2018, and proudly call Green Community 🌳 our home since June 2021. Over the years, our shelves have slowly filled up, and today our home library includes more than 1,500 books 📚 for both children and adults.

Footnotes grew out of a simple idea: if we love these books so much, why not share them? Our aim is to make it easy for our neighbours of all ages to discover new stories, borrow books, and enjoy reading as part of everyday life. We hope Footnotes becomes part of our community — a small library for all built on a big love of books ❤️📚.
